Blink-182 Keeps Things Explicit at Spectrum Center

Only a band like Blink-182 would put George Carlin’s seven dirty words in a song as lyrics. They also added a few on to it. Just two songs in to their Charlotte concert at Spectrum Center, the reunited trio broke out into “Family Reunion” which includes the lyrics, “Shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker, tits, fart, turd and twat.” Four times. If you were looking for a family friendly show, this wasn’t it.
Blink-182 has always been a bit juvenile with their humor and that side shone through during the band’s set. There were mom jokes and name-calling and generally lewd banter throughout the night. It was the music, however, that was the true focus of attention as the band is currently on tour after eight years apart.

Perhaps one could complain that they’re playing the same setlist every night, but for fans, they’re just glad the band is back together (especially after a cancer scare for bassist Mark Hoppus).
The night started with a short set from Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker’s son, Landon, who was followed by punk outfit Turnstile who brought the energy (and a bit of screaming) to the stage for a thunderous set.
