From Aug. 6-15, Elevate Lifestyle will present the sixth annual CLT Burger Week, during which 18 Charlotte-area burger joints will offer up $6 specialty burgers at dozens of locations in and around the city.

Each participating restaurant will offer a unique $6 specialty burger, with many also offering specials for partnering sponsors Stella Artois and Fireball Whisky. The following spots will will present their own spin on a 6-buck burger throughout CLT Burger Week:

Beginning Thursday, Aug. 5, you can download the official CLT Burger Week passport from the event website for a detailed description of each restaurant’s specialty burger and their respective drink specials where available. If you visit four or more restaurants and get the staff to initial your passport, send it to events@ElevateLifestyle.com for a chance to win the “Ultimate Tailgate Package,” which includes a grill, grill accessories and some swag.

More into producing food porn than filling out passports? There will also be an Instagram contest. To enter, post a picture of your burger to Instagram using the hashtag #CLTBurgerWeek or #CLTLovesBurgers and tag the restaurant. Images that are shared and liked the most will be selected for a chance to win prizes.

Last year, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar offered up a Jalapeño Popper Burger, while The Local served The Pickled Buffalo Burger and Jackbeagle’s had a Jack Mac Pimento Bacon Burger.

Once you’re done skipping from spot to spot over the 10-day period, vote at the event website for the title of Best Burger in Charlotte. Blacow in South End won first place in last year’s Best Burger in Charlotte contest, offering up a wagyu patty, lettuce, teriyaki glaze, nori furikake (seaweed seasoning), mayo and tempura avocado.

Just so you know: Participating restaurants will not be able to make substitutions for the patty on a specialty burger during CLT Burger Week. You can take any toppings off, but you can’t have a chicken, turkey or vegan burger instead of beef without paying extra. Also, don’t forget to tip your server.
