Day 4 | June 1, 2020 George Floyd Protests
The fourth day of protests in Charlotte in response to the police killing of George Floyd started in the Myers Park neighborhood. Seeking Justice CLT organized the protests to march through a predominately white neighborhood and is the first time in the city’s history that protesters marched through the streets of Myers Park. The demonstrations began in center city later in the day and turned violent by aggression from the police.
