Day 9 | June 6, 2020 George Floyd Protests
The ninth day of protests in Charlotte in response to the police killing of George Floyd begin in center city and then move to the Cherry neighborhood of Charlotte before returning to center city. The day was peaceful as news of city council banning the purchase of tear gas by CMPD for the 2021 fiscal year caused a small celebration. There were no violent interactions with the police.
