Aries Spears first connected with audiences while on MADtv. In addition to inpersonations of celebrities such as James Brown, Al Pacino, and his childhood idol Eddie Murphy, the recurring sketch, “Talkin’ American” featured Spears as Mr. Daichai, and was one of MADtv’s most popular bits. He’s currently developing a film project based on a character created on MADtv, plus a thriller about a young Black man immersed in hip-hop culture.
