An award-winning spoken-word poet, playwright, and teaching artist, Carlos Robson has cemented his reputation as a competitive slam poet, vying in local, regional, national and international competitions, and winning the National Poetry Slam championship in 2007 and again in 2008 as a member of SlamCharlotte. Robson’s new spoken-word variety show features guest comics, poets and singer-songwriters. He also conducts live interviews with Charlotte artists, activists and tastemakers.
