I AM, A Retrospective Opening Reception

Impressionist Kevin Harris professes to transcend artistic boundaries, calling his style a free-flowing collaboration of color and texture, intended to inspire a sense of fullness. Drawing on a childhood split between Washington D.C. and Harlem, the six-year Army veteran produces art that reflects his view of the Black experience in America. The combined boldly colored works in the exhibit define Harris’ beliefs on love and relationships, beauty, music, dance, justice, family and community.
