On “Mind Eraser,” Charlotte shoegaze outfit Narrowcast enwraps anxious lyrics in dulcet keyboards, hazy vocals and pointillist guitar. It’s the first live show by the band, and the first onstage appearance by vocalist Ella since 2016. A trans woman, Ella last fronted energetic Boston-based pop-punk combo Transit as frontman Joe Boyton. The DNA of Transit’s pop brilliance flits through Narrowcast’s compositions like an after image burned briefly on the retina.
