Speakeasy by Rory Sheriff

Speakeasy focuses on Virginia Hilton, a young black woman living in the 1970s taking control of her life. Facing personal and financial hardships, she tosses her husband and his crap out the front door, and sets up her own speakeasy—-which is when all hell breaks loose. Amidst the 70s backdrop of Soul, Civil Rights, and Consciousness-Raising, Speakeasy explores an incredible community of characters as they witness and support Virginia’s coming to power.
