Rust Belt folk-and-roots outfit Tail Light Rebellion is a vehicle for Jonny Swagger, who can take the stage with the force of a full band. This is fierce and gritty acoustic music, steeped in the I-don’t-give-a-fuck ethos of Irish malcontents The Pogues. The Whiskey Predicament is Charlotte-based one-man-band Nate Fey, who’s been producing his twisted version of happy-go-lucky acoustic rock tunes on lo-fi equipment since the band’s inception in 2010.
