To coincide with screenings of Alexandre O. Philippe’s Lynch/Oz, a documentary examining director David Lynch’s obsession with the 1939 Technicolor classic ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ Independent Picture House is showing two classics helmed by Lynch. Aficionados can spot the Oz references in ‘Wild at Heart,’ which boasts a cameo by the Wicked Witch of the West; and ‘Mulholland Drive,’ where Naomi Watts’ character(s) suggest ‘Oz’’s Dorothy Gale experiencing neo-noir meltdown in a Hollywood hellscape.
