How many people can fit into the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre? They say it’s 5,000 — and I wasn’t counting — but the Uptown music venue was filled to the brim for Sunday night’s Lizzo concert. One of music’s hottest artists strutted onto the stage with enough sass to go around as she belted out song after song and got the whole place singing with her.

When Sunday’s show was originally scheduled for The Fillmore, it quickly sold out and was moved to the outdoor amphitheatre next door. I’m not sure she would have filled PNC Music Pavilion, but she probably will the next time she’s in town.

Lizzo’s power of positivity and charming confidence makes her one of the most popular artists around these days. As she told the Charlotte crowd, she’s just a big, beautiful woman who’s living her dream. Whenever she gets back to the Queen City, you’re gonna want to buy those tickets early.
