With our Nooze Hounds podcast on break until the end of the year, we’re taking this opportunity to introduce a new podcast, On Call with Hannah Hasan, from Queen City Nerve contributor and Muddy Turtle Talks founder Hannah Hasan.

Hasan, who was named Best Creative in our recent Best in the Nest issue, launched Muddy Turtle Talks with her sister in 2018 as a way to share the stories of those who often go ignored in west Charlotte’s Enderly Park neighborhood. In 2020, as her live, spoken-word events were cancelled, she has been transitioning to virtual events, written stories and, now, audio.

Her first five episodes will feature talks with the five women she recently highlighted in the pages of Queen City Nerve for her latest story: Passing the Crown: Five Community Heroes of the Pandemic. She begins with Adrienne Threatt, co-founder and director of Hope Vibes CLT (and also a Best in the Nest honoree).

Remember you can catch us on Spotify and other places where you find podcasts, and be sure to check out Queen City Podcast Network for a slew of other great Charlotte podcasts that aren’t quite as good as ours but pretty damn close.
