Plenty of passion and R&B flowed into Charlotte’s Spectrum Center on Thursday as Keyshia Cole and friends brough their Love Hard Tour into town.

If you weren’t in the mood for love heading into the night, chances are you left feeling a bit more of a glow after sets by Cole, Trey Songz, Jaheim and K. Michelle.

The quartet of R&B singers stirred up plenty of emotions in the crowd, got people dancing and provided a relentless show that rarely had a down moment thanks to a DJ playing between sets during changeovers that rarely lasted longer than 10 minutes.

Wearing jeans and a white tank top, K. Michelle kicked off the night with a 30-minute set, complete with backup dancers to help set the vibe. Next, Jaheim and a large pack of dancers brought his R&B classics to life during a 40-minute set.

Trey Songz performed an hour-long set that showed why he’s one of the most dynamic and attention-grabbing R&B performers around.

Keyshia Cole, wearing a red unitard with plenty of flair, looked larger than life despite her 5′ 2″ frame as she danced and sang her way around the stage, backed by a group of male dancers. She also offered plenty of crowd engagement to bring a more intimate feeling to the performance.
