Muslim Community Hosts Gathering in Wake of New Zealand Terror Attack
More than 100 people showed up to First Ward Park on Sunday evening to show solidarity with the Muslim community two days after a man killed 50 worshippers in two different mosques in New Zealand on Friday. Speakers at Sunday’s event addressed misperceptions about the Islamic faith and invited anyone who was curious or skeptical about it to attend services at any mosque in Charlotte. Queen City Nerve contributor Grant Baldwin was on hand Sunday to take photographs on Sunday.
