Pro Skater Neen Williams to Open NADC Burger in Charlotte
Partnership with chef Phillip Frankland Lee finds it first Southeastern home

Pro skateboarder Neen Williams will be in Uptown on Friday to celebrate the opening of NADC Burger, the first Charlotte location for the Wagyu cheeseburger concept that Williams launched with Michelin-starred chef Phillip Frankland Lee.
NADC Burger Charlotte marks the duo’s 10th restaurant and the first in the Southeast, joining a lineup that includes locations in Austin, Chicago, New York, Denver, Fort Worth, Dallas and Las Vegas.
“Charlotte shows up for great food and great people,” Williams said in a release announcing the opening this week. “We built NADC Burger to be the ultimate backyard burger, and I’m thrilled to bring that flavor and our vision to the Queen City as our first Southeast outpost.”
NADC Burger’s Charlotte outpost will keep with the brand’s fast-casual model, offering a simple menu paired with nostalgic skateboard design.
Offerings will include the signature burger made with two 3-ounce patties of 100% Wagyu beef seared on a flat-top with grilled onions smashed into the meat, then layered with melted American cheese, house-made secret sauce, pickles and tamed jalapeños on a toasted potato roll.
Sides will include hand-cut beef tallow fries with an optional “Beast Mode” upgrade that loads on cheese, pickles, tamed jalapeños and special sauce. Signature brown butter chocolate chip cookies and drinks will round out the menu.

Standing for “Not a Damn Chance,” Lee and Williams launched NADC Burger in 2022, building on Williams’ existing NADC spice company. The concept started as a post-skate craving that led the pair to create their “perfect backyard burger,” which became the restaurant’s signature double cheeseburger.
The Charlotte spot will capitalize on its convenient pre-game location next to Bank of America Stadium by offering 10% off any order with proof of a Panthers or Charlotte FC ticket through the end of the year.
NADC Burger operates under the umbrella of the Scratch Restaurants Group, a Los Angeles–based, Michelin-starred hospitality group launched by husband-and-wife chef team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee in 2013.
The company started with Scratch Bar & Kitchen that year and has since opened other concepts including Sushi by Scratch, Pasta|Bar and NADC Burger. Tomorrow’s NADC opening marks the first Scratch restaurant in North Carolina.
Described as a professional skateboarder, fitness guru and nutrition specialist all at once, Williams has been a pro skater for 13 years. He grew up in Chicago, moved to Los Angeles to start his skating career and now lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his family.
