Nooze Hounds: Challengers Cade Lee and Ray McKinnon Talk County Campaigns
In Episode 12 of our Nooze Hounds podcast, we brought in first-time Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners candidate Cade Lee (District 3) and second-time candidate Ray McKinnon (At-large) to discuss what brought them into the political realm and the difficulties of challenging incumbents on a local level.
As usual, we also covered some other local news topics, including county judge Aretha Blake’s unprecedented efforts to file a restraining order to stop a WBTV story from running, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools student questionnaire that had some folks up in arms because of questions regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, and the recent arrest of a non-licensed man playing doctor to treat erectile dysfunction in Greensboro.
