Stream on Spotify

For Episode 11, we talked to Rep. Kelly Alexander Jr. about his childhood in Charlotte’s Brooklyn neighborhood and his experience on Nov. 22, 1965, when his family’s home was one of four targeted for bombings by white supremacists upset with his father’s civil rights work.

We also discussed Kelly’s work toward statewide marijuana legalization, the McClatchy bankruptcy and the recent realization that Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools won’t have the money to pay for the bond projects approved in 2017.
