On Episode 32 of the Nooze Hounds podcast, Justin and Ryan bring in Best in the Nest 2020 cover models Bluz and Jonell Logan, who shared the Critics’ Pick award for Best Hire, to talk about the state of the arts in Charlotte. Bluz was recently brought on as director of creative engagement at Blumenthal Arts, while Logan was hired as creative director at McColl Center for Art + Innovation. The crew discussed how the arts scene is faring after an especially rough 12 months, with the failure of the arts sales tax in 2019 and COVID-19 forcing creatives into adaptation mode, which has led to positive outcomes for some, especially in terms of collaboration.
