While singer/rapper Pitbull has made waves in the music world for nearly 20 years with his brand of Latin-infused pop/hip-hop/reggaeton, Saturday, Oct. 9 was his first time performing in Charlotte, and he did so alongside Iggy Azalea. From the opening notes of “Don’t Stop the Party,” Pitbull had a packed PNC Music Pavilion dancing and singing along for just over 90 minutes.

Surrounded by six dancers, Pitbull was all smiles as he performed hit after hit, including “Hotel Room Service,” “Give Me Everything” and “Time of Our Lives.”

The night started with a 30-minute set from Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. Oddly, every time Azalea twerked or shook her sizable posterior, it was cheered on by thousands of teenage girls… Not what I expected.
