The 1975 Dance Into the 2019 Summer Concert Season

The summer concert season doesn’t really start until there’s a sizeable outdoor party with plenty of good music and danceable jams. The 1975 hit all the right notes for a sold-out concert at Charlotte’s uptown amphitheatre on Sunday night, leaving fans completely satisfied, if exhausted from all the dancing in the hot spring air.

While frontman Matty Healy danced his way through the night, the band’s conglomerate of pop, rock and soul kept everyone moving and grooving. The band had the right combination of warmup acts with the slow soulful rock of No Rome and the emotionally-charged indie-pop of Pale Waves.

We’re still a month out from summer, but The 1975 had it feeling like we could travel through time on Sunday night.
