Tears streamed down British alt-rock artist Yungblud’s face as he belted out the final bars to Black Sabbath’s “Changes” at Skyla Credit Union Amphitheater on Thursday night after dedicating the song to the late Ozzy Osbourne.
The emotional moment served as the climax of a night that buzzed with intense energy, as the 28-year-old singer left no stone unturned during his dynamic performance.

Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, performed a nearly 90-minute set that kicked off with “Hello Heaven, Hello” and included “Idols, Pt. I” and “Fleabag” before concluding with fan-favorite “Zombie” from his most recent album, Idols.
While his voice was a bit raspy at first, Yungblud’s energy kept the crowd engaged at Skyla. Accompanied by a seven-piece band that included keyboards and two violins, Yungblud had the crowd jumping during his performance of “My Only Angel,” which he recorded with rock band Aerosmith. Fans could literally feel the heat from the onstage flames at certain pyrotechnic points.

The British singer has always been hard to label as he blends pop, punk, indie rock and hip-hop, but over the last year he’s been leaning into his rock star era, and it’s working for him.
Rising to popularity following his hit collaboration “11 Minutes” with Halsey and Travis Barker in 2019, Yungblud broke through to a broader audience last summer after performing “Changes” at Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert. That landed him his first Grammy in February for Best Rock Performance.
Beyond that, he’s been savoring the success of 2025’s Idols, selling out his North American tour of the same name in less than a minute.
These triumphs have cemented Yungblud as one of the rock ‘n’ roll genre’s brightest young stars. He’s come a long way from his first gig in Charlotte — a 2018 spot as the opener at K. Flay’s concert at The Underground.

The night began with all-women rock band The Warning, which opened the show with an 11-song set. Comprising three sisters, the band hails from Monterrey, Mexico, and performed one song entirely in Spanish.
Drummer Paulina Villarreal was the breakout star as she performed backup and lead vocals while wailing on her drum set.
Idols: The World Tour continues in Atlantic City on Saturday and winds throughout North America through the summer.
